Poppyseed is one of our go to’s, especially on a nice day! For lunch, it’s order at the counter but they bring it to your table when it’s ready. Dinner is full service. There’s ample indoor seating and maybe 15 outdoor tables (give or take). We love to go for lunch, grab a drinks and sit outside. We always come home with a tub of chicken salad. We usually like it better with a dash of salt and sometimes it can be a little onion heavy but it’s overall a delicious shredded chicken salad. The chicken salad sandwich comes on a croissant (pictured) so obviously that’s a hit! The mixed green salad is delicious! It’s a little sweet between the craisins and vinegrette. (Also pictured) We also enjoy the macaroni salad and the egg salad.

Wow , this place is awesome. Had the spedie , one of the best sandwiches I e ever had , truly . The cheese was melted to perfection , the chicken was juicy and the bread with toasty . 10/10

Went for Christmas lunch with coworkers. Saw that the pimento cheese sandwich was made without mayo and knew I had to order it. The pimento cheese was about an inch thick between the 2 pieces of bread! It was very good as were the homemade chips. Want to go back for dinner at some point and try some wine.

Have not had the chance to check out this gem in North Raleigh in a while. Personally, I love the concept of counter service for lunch and a fine dining experience at dinner. Had a great time at the bar before heading to an event at Quail Ridge Books. You have to check this place out. Excellent customer service. Super high quality. The Old Fashioned was delicious as were the croquettes and parm fries.

My first time there. I had the Ruebin sandwich for lunch. I have tried Ruebin sandwiches at a number of places, this one was one of the better ones. The house chips that is the standard sides were great to the last crumb. Two people with me also had sandwiches. They were also very positive about the lunch.

Food was delicious. Three others in my party all got quiche and loved them. I got a chicken mozzarella sandwich (can't remember name) and it was yummy. This is my mom's favorite place to eat, and it's up there for me too.

Great lunch place with lots of options. The staff was delightful. It was our first visit and they gave us a complimentary pimento cheese tray. The veggie lover sandwich was great and the homemade chips were fabulous. The atmosphere was pleasant. We look forward to trying the dinner menu.

Unfortunately, we were those jerks that came in right as they were closing! Even still, we received excellent service. From the deli section, we picked butternut squash lasagna, Mac-n-cheese, chicken fingers & broccoli salad— with quiche and chicken salad for tomorrow. Everything was delicious! My partner raved about how absolutely fabulous the chicken was. He said it was moist and well-seasoned with a flaky crust. We’ll certainly be back soon.
